Emerging Adulthood is a stage of life between late adolescence and early adulthood. It generally applies to people who are single, live at home, and do not have sufficient income to become fully independent. This age group is generally squeezed between the teen years and late 20s.
Has it become such an epidemic that we felt it necessary to give it an official name? Evidently. Iím sure many people would tell me that I am out of touch with the younger generation and I just donít understand; and although that may be true, the one thing I am certain about is that more and more parents are ill prepared for retirement. As parents raise their children from babies through the teenage years, there is almost always a struggle to properly save for retirement while the kids are at home.
